1. Tokyo University of Information Sciences

Acceptance Rate – 98 per cent.
The Tokyo University of Information Sciences (TUIS) was established in 1988 and is situated in Chiba City, Japan. This Japanese university has many course programs in social sciences, nursing, and informatics.
Up to 98 per cent of all local and international students are usually offered admission into this University every year. This is a very high acceptance rate compared to the other universities in Japan.
However, you should note that the acceptance rate can be lower or higher than this, depending on the competitiveness of the course you are applying for.

2. Nanjing University

Acceptance Rate – 90 percent.
Nanjing University is one of the top 10 universities in Asia with high acceptance rates. 
It was established in 1902 and is located in the old capital city of Nanjing. Nanjing University is one of the most notable members of the C9 league.

C9 League universities are the first universities alliance among top universities in China, which was launched in October 2009. It includes Peking University, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, University of Science and Technology of China, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Nanjing University, Fudan University, Xi’an Jiaotong University and Harbin Institute of Technology.
As of now in 2024, Nanjing University ranks 114th in the World University QS rankings. This Chinese university has more than 36,500 students and 2,200 faculty members.

3. University of Science and Technology of China

Acceptance Rate – 85 percent.
Here is another top university in Asia with a high acceptance rate. Aside from being a member institution of China’s elite C9 League, the University of Science and Technology of China is also a Double First-Class University.
It was established in 1958 by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), USTC. It is situated in the capital of the Anhui province, Heifei.
This university is home to the first graduate school in China. It also houses the Hefei Synchrotron,  Radiation Facility, the first biggest science faculty in China.

4. Wuhan University

Acceptance Rate – 80 percent.
Wuhan University is one of the most selective and esteemed universities in China, apart from having a high acceptance rate.
It was established in 1893 and to this day, it is still referred to as the “Most Beautiful University” ok China. Education is also of high standard and quality in this school. In fact, the Chinese Ministry of Education has named them to be Class A Double First Class University.

5. Kanazawa University

Acceptance Rate – 46 percent.
Kanazawa University was established in 1949 and spans two main campuses, namely Takaramachi and Kakuma.
There are more than 11,000 students enrolled in this university as of this moment. 8,000 are studying undergraduate course programs while 2,200 are postgraduate students.
Kanazawa University has 16 schools and three colleges. It is ranked as the 18th best university in Japan and 800th in the world, according to Times Higher Education.

6. Central South University

Acceptance Rate – 80 percent.
This university is located in Hunan province, China. Central South University was established by merging three institutions. The institutions are Hunan Medical University, Changsha Railway University, and the Central South University of Technology.

7. Nagasaki University

Acceptance Rate – 46 percent.

Two of the main requirements include having at least one year of pre-university studies and also being able to fluently communicate in the English language.

8. Okayama University

Acceptance Rate – 46 percent.
Okayama University is among the least selective top universities in Asia, Japan to be precise. Okayama University is ranked as the 23rd best in Japan and 870th in the world. 
This school has a student population of 13,000, including international students as well.

9. University of Kitakyushu

Acceptance Rate – 44 percent.
The University of Kitakyushu was founded in 1946 and is situated in Kitakyushu. This public University was initially created to be a language academy.
The University of Kitakyushu has another campus called Gakujustu Kenkyu. This second campus is located at Wakamatsu-Ku. Just so you know, this university is one of the most affordable in the world.

10. Tsinghua University

Acceptance Rate – 36 percent.

It was established in 1911 and is situated in northwest Beijing. It was built on the now-defunct royal Tsinghua Garden. This large garden was in existence way back in the Qing Dynasty.
Tsinghua University is the top-ranking university in China. It is often used as a standard for other universities, and it attracts many international students to China from various countries of the world.
