Eligible Nationality
All students from all countries of the world are allowed to apply for this scholarship. This also includes interested applicants from EU/EEA countries.
Scholarship Value And Added Benefits
- Selected applicants will get € 3,000 – € 22,000 per year.
- Selected applicants will be allowed to make use of world-class research laboratories.
- Success applicants will become automatically eligible to apply for a supplementary scholarship, the Kipaji Scholarship program.
- Selected students will be addressed as one of the most promising students of the University Of Twente.
- Students will have the chance to participate in an intake for one of the three honors programs: Research honors, Design honors, or Change leaders.
Kindly note that:
- This financial aid from the University Of Twente is purposed to be compensation for study-related costs.
- The student can decide what to spend the money on. The tuition fees will not be paid by the university itself. Successful applicants will be given the prize money and they can spend it in any way they deem fit.

2-year Study Programmes
For selected applicants whose course of study requires 2 years of continuous learning, they can also enjoy this financial aid during their second year.
Such students can be given financial aid that is of equal worth to the one received during the first year. Although this can only happen if some terms and conditions are met.
To enjoy the Twente Scholarships (UTS) 2024/23 during the second year, the student must:
- Have obtained at least an average grade of 7 out of 10 by the end of the 3rd quartile of the first year.
- Have a minimum of 50% of European Credits by the end of the 3rd quartile of the first year.
Criteria For Consideration
For an applicant to be considered eligible, he/she must:
- Possess a bachelor’s degree.
- Have been offered admission to study one of the eligible UT Master programs at the University of Twente in the Netherlands.
- Have a minimum of 50% of European Credits.
- Have proof of English Proficiency Certificate (that’s still valid).
How to Apply for the University of Twente Scholarships 2024/23
- The student needs to apply for admission into a master’s program at the University of Twente.
- Once admission has been offered, the student must apply for the scholarship under a separate application.
- This will be done with the student’s number as proof of valid admission.
